Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has commented on Chelsea’s interest in signing Fermin Lopez this summer.

Chelsea is keen on signing Lopez this summer transfer window after their manager Enzo Maresca held talks with the attacking midfielder.

The Premier League west London club reportedly made an opening bid for the Spain star worth around £43million.

But Barcelona wants £78million for Lopez.

Speaking on the development, Flick insisted that he has spoken with López, adding that the player will remain at the Blaugrana beyond this summer.

“At the moment he is here. I spoke to Fermin and I’m convinced that he will stay,” Flick said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano ahead of Barcelona’s clash with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

“But in the end I don’t know what happens, I will be really happy when the transfer market will be closed”.
