Plateau United defender Mustapha Abdullahi has apologised to the club’s supporters for the team’s poor start to the 2025–26 NPFL season.

The side has suffered two consecutive defeats, leaving them at the bottom of the NPFL table.

Abdullahi admitted that the team’s performance has not been up to standard, but expressed optimism about their chances going forward.

“We understand the feelings and disappointment the results have brought to the club. We’ll keep working till we get it right,” Abdullahi said.

Plateau United’s next test is a crucial fixture against Rangers, where they will look to revive their season.

The match will be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday.
