The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has welcomed the return of Dr Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, describing it as a major gain for the party.
Obasa, who hosted the former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate at his official residence in Ikeja GRA on Tuesday, said Jandor’s decision reflects the enduring strength of the APC as the party that mirrors the collective aspirations of Lagos residents.
“We are happy to have you back. This is a very good move,” Obasa said, assuring Jandor of seamless reintegration and collaboration in advancing the party’s commitment to effective governance in the state.
He lauded Jandor’s decision as one borne out of courage and conviction, noting that the APC’s broad and inclusive platform provides room for shared progress and sustainable development.
In his response, Jandor expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to contributing meaningfully to the APC’s vision for Lagos and Nigeria.
He commended President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, describing them as bold and people-centered measures taken in spite of resistance from critics.
“It takes courage and leadership to introduce such reforms in the face of opposition. The President has once again demonstrated his resolve to put the people first,” Jandor said.
