Police take custody of 10-year-old Gombe boy found wandering in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has taken custody of a 10-year-old boy from Gombe State who was found wandering in Numan, Adamawa State.

“Dahiru Iliya, 10 years, was on September 2, 2025, found in Numan LGA by the Divisional Police Officer, Numan Division,” the command said in a statement released Tuesday evening by the command PRO, Suleiman Nguroje.

The police said the boy has identified himself as hailing from Jinkai Village, Kaltungo LGA, Gombe State, and claimed that he was brought from Gombe and abandoned in Gwalam, Numan.

“Please assist the Command with useful information in tracing and uniting him with his parents,” Nguroje pleaded with members of the public.

He urged the parents or anyone with links to them to visit his office in Yola or contact the DPO Numan via 07067730606.
