A man, his wife, and their young son – tragically died on Wednesday afternoon in Abuja after their car crashed during a fight with touts, commonly called “Agberos.”

Eyewitnesses said the family was driving a Toyota Highlander after buying a new refrigerator when three touts began chasing them from the Berger area.

Reports say the hoodlums allegedly forced their way into the SUV and started dragging the steering wheel with the driver.

“In the process of struggling for control, the car rammed into the pillar under the bridge before plunging into the drainage,” an eyewitness told Leadership.

The crash reportedly killed the man, his wife, and their child instantly.

The collision also smashed into a green Abuja taxi that was parked nearby.

The chaos angered onlookers, who immediately descended on the touts. One of them was lynched on the spot.
