A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, has said he feels terribly embarrassed when knowledgeable northerners claim the North is shortchanged in the rotation of the presidency.
Jibrin stated this on Wednesday while responding to questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.
The Kano House of Representatives member also lamented that the northern part of Nigeria has always united against itself politically.
“I feel terribly embarrassed when I see knowledgeable northerners say the north is shortchanged in the rotation of the presidency.
“The north has always united against itself and it is time for us to tell ourselves the truth.
“It’s an insult to former heads of state from the region when a northerner goes on national television to spill such comments,” he said.
