The voting period for the 2025 Ballon d’Or has now closed.

The winner will be announced at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on September 22.

Thirty finalists are in the running for this prestigious award, which honours the best player of the year.

Ousmane Dembélé, Lamine Yamal, and Achraf Hakimi are believed to be the frontrunners for the prize.

The finalists will be selected based on three criteria: individual performances, collective achievements/trophies won, and class/fair play.

Journalists from the top 100 FIFA-ranked nations take part in the voting process.

Each one of them will select their top 10 players in order and the eventual winner determined by the total points accumulated.
