Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as they thrashed Armenia 5-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match on Saturday.

His double takes his career tally to 942 goals for club and country, as he continues to chase the 1,000-goal mark.

João Félix opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Ronaldo doubled their lead when he converted Pedro Neto’s cross.

João Cancelo volleyed in the third goal before the half-time break.

Shortly after the restart, Ronaldo grabbed the fourth with a stunning strike from distance on the bounce.

The 40-year-old’s Al-Nassr teammate, Félix, added a second of his own to complete the scoring.
