Tinubu’s wife distributes grants to 500 Abia women

Wife of the President, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, through her Renewed Hope Initiative Women Economic Empowerment Program, has distributed financial grants to 500 women in Abia State.

The grants given to the women traders and small-scale business owners are to support their businesses and to drive community development.

While launching the programme in Umuahia on Friday, on behalf of the Nigerian First Lady, the wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti praised Mrs Tinubu for her efforts in fighting poverty and unemployment among Nigerian women.

“This programme is not just about supporting businesses, it is about securing the future of families, educating children, and uplifting entire communities,” Mrs. Otti said.

Mrs Otti noted that the opportunities created for women to access funds, education, education and tools for self reliance would yield generational impact in Abia and Nigeria at large.

She said that millions of Nigerian families have been transformed through the Renewed Hope Initiative Women Economic Empowerment Programme, and appealed to women in Abia to give more support to the wife of the President.

While presenting the cheque of N50,000 to each beneficiary, the wife of Abia State Governor urged them to utilize the support in growing their businesses.
