Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has hailed team-mate, Tolu Arokorade for scoring the goal that gave Nigeria a 1-0 win against Rwanda in Saturday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Recall that Arokorade came off the bench to score the game’s only goal as Nigeria defeated Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

The Wolves striker replaced Frank Onyeka in the second half of the encounter.

The result of the game means Eric Chelle’s side are now in third position in Group C, only behind Benin Republic and South Africa.

Reacting, Boniface, who recently joined Werder Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, posted on his Instagram account after the game: “Na so my guy Tolu Arokorade.”

Arokodare will hope to start for Nigeria when they face South Africa in their next game after Victor Osimhen picked up an ankle injury against Rwanda.
