Yemi Remi, brother of late Nollywood actor Segun Remi, widely known as Chief Kanran, has revealed details surrounding the veteran’s de@th.
According to him, the actor showed no signs of illness before his passing.
Naija News reports that he had attended a church programme on Friday, August 15, where people said he danced with joy, and had even spoken with his brother a day earlier about meeting the next day.
Sadly, that meeting never happened. Chief Kanran reportedly slumped in his bathroom, and before he could be taken to the hospital, he was confirmed de@d.
“He wasn’t sick. The Friday before he d!ed, he went for a church programme and people said he danced so well. He even called me on Thursday and said we’d meet the next day.
“It was that Friday that they called me to say that he had d!ed. I now ask what happened. They told me that he slumped in the bathroom. Before they could get to the hospital, he had d!ed”, Remi said in a YouTube interview.
His de@th was first made public by producer Seun Oloketuyi.
The actor was later buried on Friday, September 12, at his residence in Beckley Estate, Abule Egba, Lagos.
