Founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc and Anap Foundation, Atedo Peterside, has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, under Prof Mahmoud Yakubu was a national disgrace.
Peterside made this remark on Monday while responding to questions during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.
When asked about his expectations of the new INEC leadership under Prof Joash Amupitan and the forthcoming off-cycle elections in Anambra and Ekiti states,
Peterside said: “I would never say never. But the INEC that was left by Prof Mahmoud Yakubu was a national disgrace.
“If you have time, you just have to go on the IReV. I can take you there myself and show you result sheet which they manipulated.
“Sometimes they changed figures and forgot to change the words. This didn’t add up at all.”
