School kidnappings have gone on for too long – Kwankwaso laments

Ex-Kano governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has reacted to the latest kidnapping in Niger State.

He called the kidnapping of students from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri as distressing.

In a post on his Facebook page, Kwankwaso said this attack is “yet another sad episode in a deeply troubling pattern of school kidnappings that has gone on for far too long.”

Kwankwaso urged the government to move quickly, saying the authorities must act “with utmost urgency to secure the safe return of these children.”

He added that beyond the rescue effort, Nigeria must “make the protection of schools and all critical centres of learning and human progress an absolute priority.”
