A female NYSC member has sparked reactions online after revealing that she was posted to serve as a cemetery manager.

The corper, who appeared visibly distressed in the viral clip, lamented that she begged officials to reject her posting, but they refused.

“I begged them to reject me”

In her words:

“I’m the first female corper to serve in a cemetery as a manager. I begged them to reject me but they refuse. Who am I supposed to manage in a cemetery?”

Her complaint quickly stirred amusement and sympathy as Nigerians debated the unusual posting and questioned how such a role even exists under NYSC.

The unusual posting has left many Nigerians amused and confused, as several questioned how a cemetery could require a “manager” under the NYSC scheme.

Others sympathised with the lady, noting that the assignment was both frightening and unconventional, especially for a young corper serving far from home.
