The young man entered his father’s shop excitedly, showing off his new hairstyle.
However, his father looked visibly displeased.
In the video, the pastor’s son is seen receiving a sharp rebuke from his father, who compared him to a mad man for rocking dreads and warned him that such appearances could tarnish his reputation in Katangwa market.
Son Defends His Hairstyle
Speaking in Igbo, the young man tried to explain that the hairstyle was for a shoot.
He stressed that the look was not meant to disrespect anyone but was part of his creative work.
Despite his explanation, his father insisted that the shop, being in a local market, was not the place for such experimentation.
Father Emphasizes Reputation in Katangwa Market
The father reminded his son that, as a pastor’s child, his presence in the market reflects on the family.
He told him that while he might be free to express himself elsewhere, he should not bring such appearances to the shop, warning him to reserve such styles for places where people “don’t know him.”
In the comment section, the young man clarified;
“My Dad only reacted like that because I didn’t wear my cap as he told me to, and he actually likes my hairstyle. I made my hair for a shoot, and he knows about it. He just doesn’t like that I came to his shop with it.”
