This strategic shift is projected to create a domestic market for $21 billion worth of Nigerian crude annually, a move that will significantly stabilise foreign exchange, boost the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and position Nigeria as a net exporter of refined products.

The facility houses the world’s largest pipeline infrastructure network, stretching 1,100 kilometres with a capacity to transport 3 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day. To guarantee operational independence, it operates on a dedicated 435MW power plant, a generation capacity substantial enough to meet the electricity needs of the entire Ibadan DisCo franchise area.
