Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has opened up about an emotional ordeal involving alleged body-shaming at a Lagos gym, revealing that she had a woman arrested for secretly taking her photos without consent.

Speaking during an appearance on the Honest bunch Podcast, the actress fought back tears as she recounted the incident, stressing that the unsolicited photo made her feel violated and mocked.

According to her, the issue began when an unidentified woman allegedly snapped her picture at the gym and compared her natural body to surgically enhanced bodies, an action Blessing described as deeply upsetting.

“This is my body; this is how I’ve always been. I have a six-year-old son,” she said emotionally. “You get BBL and you’re taking pictures of me with my natural body. Are you stupid?”

Blessing claimed that the gym, identified as iFitness, initially withheld information about the woman who allegedly took the photo. She added that she eventually located the individual on her own and had her arrested.

“I later found the girl that took my picture at the gym and got her arrested, even though iFitness hid the information from me,” she said.

The actress said the experience left her shaken, noting that body-shaming, whether online or in public spaces, has become a harmful trend people no longer take seriously.

She called for stricter respect for personal boundaries, emphasising that every woman, regardless of whether her body is natural or surgically enhanced, deserves dignity.
