Reality TV star and brand influencer Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as CeeC, has opened up about being frequently misjudged by the public, especially those who have never met her in person.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Echo Room podcast, the former BBNaija finalist said many Nigerians misunderstand her personality, often interpreting her confidence as arrogance.
CeeC noted that in Nigeria, people tend to adopt negative labels placed on others without taking the time to understand them individually. According to her, this pattern of judgement has affected her public image, with some people dismissing her as “arrogant” based solely on online narratives.
“In Nigeria, a lot of people follow the bad work,” she said. “If somebody says, ‘Oh, this person is bad,’ people don’t even wait to experience you. They just agree. So many people see my confidence as arrogance.”
The lawyer-turned-reality-star explained that such misconceptions have had real consequences for her brand. However, she said meeting her in person usually changes people’s perceptions completely.
“You cannot meet me in person or experience me and still go home saying I’m arrogant,” she said. “You would definitely have a change of mindset about me.”
CeeC added that she has learnt to use real interactions to correct wrong assumptions about her character. She emphasised that many people who take time to know her walk away with a more accurate understanding of who she is.
“One thing I’ve tried to do is to make sure that when you meet me and give me the grace to get to know me, you will not go home feeling that way,” she concluded.
CeeC remains one of the most talked-about personalities to emerge from Big Brother Naija, known for her strong will, confidence, and outspoken nature, traits that have earned her both criticism and admiration over the years.
