Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has sparked fresh reactions online after claiming he has helped more people in the music industry than Olamide, Don Jazzy, Wizkid, and Davido combined.
In a now viral video, the Zazu crooner insisted that his impact goes beyond music, adding that he supports not just upcoming artistes but also the less privileged and everyday Nigerians who lack industry connections.

According to him, unlike most celebrities who “form ego,” he freely associates with ordinary people and consistently reposts videos made by his fans.
In his words, he said:
“Many Nigerian celebrities don’t post their fans even if they dance to their songs. But me, I repost every positive video about me.
Even with your money, many celebrities won’t let you feature them as an upcoming artist. But I help people freely. I have helped more people in the music industry than Don Jazzy, Olamide, Wizkid, and Davido.”
Portable added that real help means picking someone off the streets, providing shelter, food, clothes, and even paying for their first studio session, not doing business under the guise of mentorship.
He further claimed that many artistes are only “used,” and once they try to become independent, they are suddenly labeled ungrateful.
Social media users had plenty to say, with many sharing mixed reactions. One commentator wrote, “Portable no dey ever disappoint with bragging. But he actually has helped some people sha.” Another added, “Mentioning Olamide and Don Jazzy in this comparison is wild! 😂”
Portable’s bold statement has sparked another round of heated debate online, with some applauding his street-level generosity and others insisting he is exaggerating.
