Wike sacks Acting Chairman of FCT Internal Revenue Service

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has relieved the acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Mr. Michael Ango, of his appointment.

The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant  on public communications and social media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the statement, the most senior official within the FCT-IRS has been directed to immediately take over the leadership and administration of the revenue agency in an acting capacity.

No official reason was disclosed for Ango’s removal as announced by the minister’s aide
