Former Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), has called on Northern leaders to restore the region’s core values of humility, unity, and service.

Babangida made the call at the second Hassan Katsina Memorial Conference, stressing the need for renewed purpose as the region battles mounting socio-economic and security challenges.

He also cautioned that rising insecurity and socio-economic pressures threaten the stability and development of the region.

“The effects of that mentorship are the lasting example that is still with us today. We cherish and remember him always,” he stated.
