A Lagos resident has narrated her frightening brush with suspected wig snatchers in the Igando area of the state.

Woman confess she is still in shock

The woman, who was on her way to a friend’s birthday celebration, said she had just alighted from a bus to board a motorcycle when an unknown person suddenly tugged at her wig from behind.

According to her, the force of the pull left her in shock as she struggled to understand what was happening.

Guys, I’m just coming back. They almost stole my wig today at Igando. My friend is having her birthday party and I went there. I came down from the bus to take a bike. That’s how they drew the wig. The person drew it from the back. Guys, I’m shocked, I confess,” she narrated.

Her experience has stirred reactions online, with many Lagos residents sharing similar concerns about the rising trend of petty theft, especially during the festive season.

Others warned women to be extra cautious as thieves increasingly target wigs, jewellery, and other easily snatched accessories in crowded areas.
