No one should benefit from disruption of Igboland – Orji Kalu

The lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has condemned the activities of some people he said are destabilizing the South-East region of Nigeria.

Featuring in an interview on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST on Sunday, the lawmaker warned that nobody should benefit from the disruption of Igboland.

Uzor-Kalu was speaking on the state of the nation, dismissing the accusation that he was sponsoring ‘Autopilot or ‘Biafra Restoration Group.’

“I have never heard that name, and I cannot sponsor such a thing. I want to live in a Nigeria where justice and equity prevail. I was governor. I established the Bakassi, and the Bakassi was in charge. No one should benefit from the disruption of Igboland.

“I think these kids should take Nigeria serious and take Igbo people serious. They should stop doing these things they are doing. We should be tired of this faction. We should think about how to move forward, how to use political solutions to sort out the Igbos.

“Nobody takes the Igbo serious when it comes to this kinds of things. These guys should stop this old fashioned way of doing these things. I think they should now find a way on how they can put back Igbo in the map of Nigeria,” he said.
