Withdraw military officers protecting Tinubu’s son – TV anchor, dares IGP

Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni has challenged the Inspector General of Police to withdraw officers protecting President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

This followed a concern raised by Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka, who accused Seyi of moving about with a battalion.

Soyinka had in a video circulating on X, narrated how he was shocked to meet what he described as a small battalion of heavily armed security operatives guarding Seyi during a visit to a hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to him, he initially thought a movie was being filmed because the number of armed men looked unreal.

Speaking on the trending video during the Live Morning Show, Rufai said despite President Tinubu’s directive that the IGP should withdraw officers from Very Important Persons, VIPs, Seyi will continue moving around with the policemen.

“Them nor born anybody well to remove police protection from Seyi Tinubu”, he said during the live TV program.

In the video, Reuben Abati could be heard asking Rufai, “even the IGP the Inspector General of Police?” Rufai responded, “them no born am well”.
