According to the statement, the security deployment comprises conventional police personnel, tactical teams, surveillance squads, crowd control units and Explosive Ordnance Disposal, EOD, units.

The police noted that some roads in Maiduguri, particularly the parallel route from Airport Road to Shehu Road, may experience temporary traffic restrictions or diversions to facilitate the smooth movement of dignitaries and guarantee public safety.

Residents and motorists were advised to remain patient and comply with lawful directives from security personnel on duty.

The Command reassured the public of its commitment to protecting lives and property before, during and after the presidential visit, while calling for the cooperation, vigilance and support of residents.

ASP Daso also urged members of the public to promptly report any suspicious movements or security-related concerns to the nearest police station or through established emergency contact channels.
