Famous Canadian rapper Drake has reportedly lost ₦296 million betting on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul to defeat former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in their Miami showdown.

Anthony Joshua Secures Victory

In the early hours of Saturday, December 21, Anthony Joshua showcased his dominance in the ring, defeating Jake Paul via a sixth-round knockout in their highly anticipated heavyweight fight in Miami, USA.

Joshua’s experience proved decisive as he dropped Paul twice in the fifth round, before delivering a finishing flurry in the sixth that left Paul unable to continue.

Drake’s Bet on Jake Paul

Ahead of the fight, Drake openly shared his $200,000 (₦296 million) bet on Jake Paul via his Instagram story, accompanied by the caption: “Jakeyyyyy boy, lock tf in.”

Had Jake Paul won, the rapper stood to earn over $1.6 million (more than ₦2 billion).

Past Betting Loss

This isn’t Drake’s first big betting loss. Earlier, the rapper reportedly lost ₦451 million at the US Open after backing Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner.
