A Muslim man has gone viral online after sharing how a Christian stranger surprised him with Christmas food: jollof rice and chicken.
The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @IU_Wakilii, revealed that the surprise package came after he earlier urged Christians to reciprocate kindness to Muslims who usually share food with them during Sallah celebrations.
Unexpected Message from a Stranger
According to him, a Christian man who saw the post reached out despite not knowing him personally.
The man then offered to send him a Christmas package as a sign of goodwill and unity.
What Was in the Package
The thoughtful gift contained rice, chicken, and a locally made drink (zobo).
The Muslim recipient happily confessed that he was so excited he couldn’t even wait to get home before digging into the meal.
In his words:
“I made this tweet, and a Christian brother who didn’t know me from Adam reached out to me and offered to send me Christmas rice and chicken; he even added Zobo. Had to finish one lap on my way because I couldn’t wait to reach home. Thank you very much, my bro @Oriafarrell1. Dear Christian friends please learn from him, that your Muslim friend give am rice!!
