Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Sunday slammed controversial Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, for his remarks against the United States’ airstrikes targeting ISIS terrorists in Sokoto State.

Adeyanju said Gumi’s complaints were misplaced and unnecessary.

On Christmas Day, former US President Donald Trump reportedly authorized airstrikes aimed at eliminating ISIS operatives in Sokoto State, Nigeria.

Adeyanju Responds on Social Media

Taking to X, Adeyanju challenged Gumi’s position, he wrote:

“If the Donald Trump air strike against Nigerian ISIS didn’t kill any terrorist, why is Gumi crying? Should he not be happy that all his colleagues are still alive?”

Adeyanju further emphasized the need for stronger partnerships in the fight against terrorism.

He added: “Why the tears? We need more collaborative efforts between the US and Nigeria against these barbaric terrorists terrorizing our nation.”
