President Donald Trump has revealed that he made around 1,000 stock trades in June, a move that has put his financial activity during his second term back in the spotlight.
The stock transactions cut across energy companies, drug manufacturers, and AI firms, all of which are either directly affected by the U.S. feud with Iran or industries Trump has tried to shape through his policies.
Trump previously came under fire for making more than $1 billion from crypto-related activities in 2025.
In a filing with the Office of Government Ethics, it was revealed that Trump made more than 1,000 stock transactions in June, despite ongoing scrutiny over his business ventures and the substantial amounts of money they have generated while he is in office.
Although it is unclear how much money he spent during the month on these stock transactions, some of the purchases he made were worth millions of dollars, with the same being true for some of the sales.
In at least three instances, Trump made stock purchases ranging between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. One of them was Cintas Corp., an American corporation headquartered in Mason, Ohio, which provides a range of products and services to businesses.
He also made sales in a similar range involving Meta Platforms, Inc., the company that owns the social media app Facebook, as well as Motorola Solutions, Inc.
Trump Traded Stocks In Industries Shaped By His Policies
4Of greater scrutiny was the fact that some of the transactions also targeted companies across industries that Trump has sought to shape through his policies, including drug manufacturers such as Eli Lilly and AI firms such as Nvidia.
For the drug manufacturers, the president earlier launched TrumpRx.gov to bring lower drug prices to American patients, a move that led several pharmaceutical companies to sign pricing deals with the administration. Similarly, Trump earlier in the year imposed a 25% tariff on certain advanced computing chips, which affected Nvidia’s H200.
Another point of interest is the purchase and sale of thousands of dollars worth of stock in energy companies that could be directly affected by Trump’s ongoing conflict with Iran. Some of the companies named in the filing included Exxon Mobil, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Valero Energy and Occidental Petroleum.
White House Denies Trump Has Direct Influence Over His Investments
4Amid the scrutiny over the stock transactions, White House spokesman Davis Ingle refuted claims that Trump is directly involved in those investments.
He claimed that the president’s portfolio “is independently managed by third-party financial institutions” and has been since he came into public office.
The official also stated that none of Trump’s children or family members were involved. However, there is no telling whether either party at some point directly passed along relevant information to the portfolio managers.
“Neither President Trump nor any member of his family has any ability to direct, influence, or provide input regarding how the portfolio is invested or when investments are being bought or sold,” Ingle added at the time. “There are no conflicts of interest.”
Trump Says He’s Profiting Because The Stock Market Is Up
4When confronted with inquiries about his increasing profits since taking office, Trump also denied being involved in or having any financial conversations with the portfolio managers.
He also claimed that he is not the only one profiting, but that he appears to profit more because he was already very wealthy before taking office.
“You know why I’m profiting, because the stock market’s going up, everybody’s profiting,” he told reporters in July. “I am profiting because I have a lot of money and cash.”
“I give it to institutions, and they buy a vast array of things,” he added.
Trump Made $1 Billion+ From Crypto In 2025
4Preceding Trump’s stock transactions were reports that the real estate mogul made more than $1 billion from crypto-related ventures in 2025.
This followed a disclosure filing made by the president, which showed that he made approximately $635 million in royalties from an entity known as Celebration Coins.
Another massive $500 million in income was tied to World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency firm co-founded by Trump’s sons alongside the sons of his special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
