They also revealed a high-stakes gamble twist that could reduce the winner’s prize, adding more unpredictability and strategic gameplay to the show.
In other news…… A Nigerian lady has shared her astonishment after discovering a purported cultural practice during her visit to Benue State. According to her, she was informed that in some communities, a man can claim a woman as his wife simply by firing a gunshot into the air upon finding her attractive.
The claim was made in a TikTok video uploaded by user @ulenusetv, in which the lady recounted the unusual information she received during her trip.
She explained that she was told if a man sees a woman he fancies, he can fire a gun into the sky as a symbolic act of paying her bride price regardless of her consent.
“In Benue State, I was told that if a man sees me, likes me, and shoots into the air, I automatically become his wife. Whether I agree or not, that shot is considered bride price,” she said in disbelief.
She added that the information was shared with her while on a bus, and that if she were simply visiting someone and a man performed the act, she would be considered married and later taken from her family.
In the background of the video, voices presumably of local women can be heard confirming the practice, which added to her shock.
The video has quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread reactions ranging from skepticism and concern to cultural curiosity.
