Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has offered advice to May Edochie, urging her to follow the example of Megan Kerrigan, wife of Astronomer CEO Andy Byro.
This comes after reports surfaced that Kerrigan had removed her husband’s surname from her Facebook profile. The move reportedly followed a viral video that captured Andy Byro at a Coldplay concert in Gillette Stadium, Massachusetts, appearing cozy with Kristen Cabot, the Chief Public Officer of his company.
In the widely shared footage, Byro and Cabot appeared visibly uncomfortable once they realized they were being filmed, further fueling public speculation.
Reacting to the incident, Uche Maduagwu released a video suggesting that May Edochie should also drop the surname of her estranged husband, Yul Edochie. Drawing a parallel between the two situations, the actor pointed out that Yul also became romantically involved with his colleague, Judy Austin, whom he later married and had children with.
Maduagwu stirred reactions online when he added that some women choose to retain their ex-husband’s surname either because they remain on good terms or continue to benefit from the name.
