The 2023 Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has debunked the claim that Peter Obi, has dumped the party.

Datti said contrary to several claims and insinuations, Obi has not joined the African Democratic Party (ADC).

Speaking at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party in Abuja on Monday, July 21, Datti said that there is no crack between members of the party.

His words, “To the best of our knowledge, His Excellency, Governor Peter Obi, my boss, the 2023 presidential candidate is still a member of the Labour Party

“Just like I did, he attended the talks of a coalition; the coalition is not a political party and he has not become a member of the ADC.

“So, what you’re asking in theory is if he does not get the ticket in ADC. And in theory, I will tell you, when we get there we will decide.

“There is no crack and by the grace of God almighty there will never be a crack. We are solidly together. In fact, it is easier to break the head of the APC than for a crack to exist among us,” Datti stated.
