BREAKING: Bird Strike Grounds Air Peace Enugu-Bound Flight

A Lagos–Enugu Air Peace flight was grounded on Thursday morning following a bird strike shortly after takeoff.

In a statement issued by the airline, Flight P47100, which was en route to Enugu, encountered a bird strike shortly after departure from Lagos and was forced to make an air return for mandatory safety checks.

“We hereby notify you and the flying public of an ongoing flight disruption across our network today,” the airline stated. “This morning, Flight P47100 experienced a bird strike and had to make an air return for safety checks.”

Air Peace apologised to affected passengers for the inconvenience and appealed for patience as efforts were underway to minimise the disruption and restore normal flight operations.

While the number of passengers on board was not disclosed, the airline emphasised that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority.
