JUST IN: New APC National Chairman visits former Zamfara Governor Yari [PHOTOS]

The newly appointed national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda on Friday, July 25, visited a former governor of Zamfara State, Abdul’aziz Yari.

Politics Nigeria gathered that Yilwatda visited Yari at his office in the Maitama District of Abuja.

He was at Yari’s office alongside some of his supporters and members of the ruling party.

Recall that Yilwatda was appointed as the new national chairman of the APC on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Yilwatda replaced the former National chairman of the party Abdullahi Ganduje who recently resigned from the position.

Ganduje on Friday, congratulated Yilwatda over his appointment as the new national chairman of the party.

In a statement, the former Kano State governor  described Yilwatda’s emergence as “strategic” to the party growth.

According to him, he said the new APC national chairman’s appointment comes at a defining moment in the party’s history.

He also expressed confidence in Yilwatda’s “capacity, intellect, maturity, and administrative competence” to steer the APC in the right direction.
