Council chairman renames Charly Boy Bus stop, 7 other streets in Lagos [FULL LIST]

The chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area, Kolade David has announced a change of name for eight streets and areas in Lagos State.

David made the announcement on Friday, July 15, in Bariga.

Speaking to members of his constituents and other officials of the council, David said the renaming of the streets and areas follows due consideration by his administration.

He said, “As an administration we took our time to reflect on a number of our people who have put the name of our local council out on the Global map through their respective God given talents and craft, as well as eminent personalities in our Nation and our beloved state and Local Council who have contributed immensely to the development of our Nation and our State.

“Today, we will be officially renaming streets in honour of the legacies,” David noted.

Below are the streets renamed and their new names as disclosed by the Bariga chairman:

1 Ilajẹ Road will now be known as King Sunny Ade Road

2 Bariga Road will now be known as Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way

3 Community Road Akoka will now be known as Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu Road

8 Ilojo Crescent, Obanikoro will now be known as Bukayo Saka Street.
