An elderly Nigerian woman was devastated after burglars broke into her shop overnight and made away with her entire stock of palm and groundnut oil, worth millions of naira.

The unfortunate event was shared by TikTok user @beaofoodhub, who revealed that the affected shop belonged to her mother, a long-time vendor specializing in palm and groundnut oil.

According to her account, the burglars gained access by first breaking into a nearby tailor’s shop and then forcefully tearing down the wall that connected it to her mother’s store.

She further narrated that the thief used an indirect route, entering from a third street, breaking into a church compound, scaling the wall of an abandoned property, and finally forcing entry into the tailor’s shop linked to her mother’s store.

Only 8 kegs of oil were recovered during a search in the area. “We found his bag on top of the stolen goods. Watching my mum cry was heartbreaking. But I trust God to restore everything twice over,” she added.
