Music producer Samklef has firmly denied recent claims by social media activist Verydarkman (VDM) that he was involved in a private celebrity WhatsApp group allegedly formed to obstruct justice for the late singer Mohbad.
VDM had earlier leaked excerpts from a group chat that he claimed included Samklef, Iyabo Ojo, Jigan Baba Oja, and others. According to him, the group was created to plan his arrest, leak a nude video of him, and mislead the public after he demanded a deeper investigation into Mohbad’s death and questioned the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam.
In a heated reaction posted on X (formerly Twitter), Samklef dismissed the allegations, describing VDM as “a clout chaser” and “a tool working against justice.”
He wrote:
“The group chat the whole world knows about even has an Instagram page. We created it to fight against bullies like Naira Marley, not to silence anybody.”
Samklef backed his defense by sharing Mohbad’s petition against Sam Larry over assault, asking:
“Did Mohbad file a petition against Naira Marley and Sam Larry over threats and bullying, true or false? That’s what we were fighting for.”
He continued, calling out VDM’s tactics and alleged manipulation:
“I told y’all to educate yourselves, but una no gree! Now Ado Idi don begin manipulate and gaslight una, mumu people!”
“This group chat wey the whole world knows say e dey exist, even get Instagram account, we created it to fight for justice against bullies like Naira Marley!”
Turning the heat up, Samklef said VDM had always been an obstacle:
“But VDM? He’s been a tool from day one, working against Mohbad. First, it was the DNA talk…”
“When we Dey fight for justice for Mohbad the were still Dey fight vendors all around.”
“You Dey use your gullible rats Dey chase clouts. Who u be wey we go open group chat for u? 😂 I know say your gullible followers no sabi read.”
He challenged VDM directly:
“Dear VDM, why you dey face Dre? Face me direct na me write the petition against you!”
Samklef also accused VDM of deliberately dragging Davido into drama:
“You deliberately attacked Dre and tagged Davido, trying to stir drama. You Dey bored you need content! Portable own no work.”
“If na Davido you wan drag, drag am with your full chest! Ever since he visited Tinubu, you don dey look for every excuse to attack am. That’s why you go dey hang with Burna Boy thinking say we no go notice!”
He again reiterated the existence of the group chat:
“And that Mohbad group chat wey the whole world know say e exist na the same you come call me out, say I talk say Naira Marley dey work for APC. You almost set me up… but I sharp pass your trap!”
Samklef pressed VDM on key questions:
“Did Naira Marley and Sammy Larry bully Mohbad true or false?”
“Did Mohbad file a petition against Naira Marley and Sam Larry while he was alive over threats and bullying true or false?”
He criticized VDM for never addressing the core issue while claiming to seek justice:
“Cause you have never spoken about this since you are claiming to fight for justice.”
Samklef ended by advising Davido and exposing what he claims is VDM’s true intent:
“Davido see why you should never trust the loyalty of a poor man? Pls stay away from people like VDM. Na one of the main reason why I really vex for you. Darkness go stain your white! You are his main target.”
“Dear Naira Marley and Sam Larry, even if you like pay VDM ₦1 billion, this damage control wey him dey do for una don dey too obvious! The way VDM dey go extra hard is exposing everything.”
