Jay-Z’s Alleged Son Withdraws Lawsuit Amid Ongoing Paternity Battle

Rymir Satterthwaite has officially withdrawn his federal lawsuit against rapper and business mogul Jay-Z, whom he has long alleged is his biological father.

Confirming the decision in a video posted on Instagram on July 27, the 30-year-old explained, “I did withdraw my case… there’s a lot going on behind closed doors. We got to step back and play chess, not checkers. I have not stopped my fight.”

Rymir has maintained for years that Jay-Z fathered him in the ’90s, but the hip-hop icon’s legal team has consistently denied the allegations.

In court filings, Jay-Z’s lawyers called Rymir’s claims “fabricated,” adding that they have been “addressed and rejected in multiple courts,” and described the latest lawsuit as part of “decades-long harassment.”

Jay-Z’s team also noted that the federal lawsuit was “not properly served,” asserting the music star was unaware of it until a month after it was filed in May.

Rymir, however, insists his case was never about child support but about seeking damages for emotional distress and reputational harm. Despite the withdrawal, he hinted that his legal battle against Jay-Z is far from over.
