Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has voiced serious concerns about poor hygiene practices in the Nigerian film industry after he suffered a severe skin reaction from a costume he wore on a movie set.

In a video posted online, the visibly uncomfortable actor showed his followers the rashes that had spread across his body. He explained that the irritation began shortly after he wore a traditional animal-skin tunic that was provided as part of his costume for the yet-to-be-disclosed film project. According to Okeke, the costume had not been properly washed or disinfected before use, which led to the allergic reaction.
