Activist Harrison Gwamnishu has released CCTV footage capturing the moment a resident of Ogwashi-Uku community in Delta State narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt on his property.
Harrison has consistently decried the alarming rate of kidnappings in the community.
Last week, he shared the sad story of how man d!ed in a motorcycle accident barely 24 hours after surviving a kidnap attempt in the same Ogwashi-Uku community.
In the recent video he shared today, the victim had driven into his compound at about 7.40pm and was yet to park his car when the armed men walked into his compound to carry out their mission. He was however fast enough to run into his house, leaving his car in motion. The assailants who were armed with machetes tried forcing their way into the building but couldn’t.
Harrison disclosed that this the second time the victim would be surviving a kidnapping attempt, with the first attempt happening in January this year.
