Affiong Victor Usimka confirmed Chief Registrar of Akwa Ibom Judiciary

Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Justice Ekaete Fabian Obot, has confirmed the appointment of Affiong Victor Usimka as the substantive Chief Registrar of the state judiciary.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chief Judge, Mr Gilbert Ukoh, on Monday, it was noted that the Chief Registrar, until her confirmation, had held the office in an acting capacity.

The statement explained that the Justice Obot, while swearing in the Chief Registrar in her chambers on Monday, charged her to be humble, faithful, and courteous to people, saying that the Office of the Chief Registrar is a place of service.

Obot, who described the Chief Registrar’s Office as the engine room of the judiciary, urged her to be dedicated and hardworking.

The statement read in part: “A Chief Registrar has been appointed for the Akwa Ibom State Judiciary. She is Affiong Victor Usimka Esq.

“Until her appointment, she served in that Office in an acting capacity. She was sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State Hon. Justice Ekaete F. Fabian-Obot Monday 11th August, 2025 in her chambers.”

Speaking on oath, the Chief Registrar promised to be faithful, loyal, and diligent in the discharge of her duties and responsibilities.
