The lawmaker representing the Abia North senatorial zone in the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has reacted to rumours that President Bola Tinubu is sick.

There has been speculation about the president’s health, with claims alleging that he is currently in a critical condition.

The presidency has, however, dismissed the rumour, revealing that President Tinubu is working from home.

The lawmaker, who confirmed that the president is in a good state, however, noted that anybody can be tired or unwell.

He said, “I spoke with him two hours ago and the president is in good shape. The president has made contact with some international people and the president is preparing for his journey to Japan and stopover in Brazil.

“Anybody can be tired. Like three days ago, you can ask my daughter here, I told her that I was going upstairs and I have been there resting.

“Anybody can be sick or not feel like going out. I think the president just doesn’t feel like going out.

“I want politicians to stop this rumour. We need to work together to face our economy.”
