Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an ankle injury, DAILY POST reports.

Dessers sustained the injury in the Light Blues’ 2-1 defeat to Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old was replaced by Danilo in the 54th minute.

“Yeah, it looks a nasty one. So he’s in a brace now. We’ll have to just wait and see over the next couple of days, have a scan and see,” Martin was quoted by Daily Record.

Dessers’ injury will be a big blow for the Gers, with another striker, Hamza Igmane, yet to attain full fitness.

The Scottish Premiership club will face Belgian Pro League outfit Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
