Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has urged President Bola Tinubu to redeem the $100,000 promise to the Super Falcons.

He was reacting to Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade’s remark that the players were yet to receive the money promised by Tinubu.

Tinubu had pledged $100,000 to each of the 24 players and $50,000 to each technical team member for winning the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations, WAFCON, in Morocco.

In addition, each player and technical crew member is also to receive a 3-bedroom flat.

However, Ajibade said they were yet to receive the money pledged by the president.

Posting on X, Sani wrote: “Reading that The Falcons are yet to receive the $100k is shocking. I urge the FG to fast track and redeem the pledge made to The Falcons and D’Tigress. Waiting for money is mentally stressful.”
