Afrobeats superstar Davido Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido is still on cloud nine after tying the knot with his long-time love Chioma Adeleke in a lavish Miami ceremony tagged #Chivido2025.
In a post on his official account on X, Davido gushed about how magical the day was, writing:
“We had an amazing Wedding Perfect INFACT!
Me and my wife body still Dey sweet us like this … NOTHING UNA FIT DO SAY OR MAKE UP will never change the facts that we had fairytale wedding! And one of the best days of not the best day of our lives! The whole world celebrated US!”

But while fans flooded him with love, one troll tried to stir drama, referencing recent rumours that Davido’s friend and groomsman Ubi Franklin had stolen a luxury wristwatch at the wedding.
The troll wrote: “At least none of the groomsmen at the wedding stole a watch, can’t say the same for you.”
Davido wasted no time replying with a sharp clapback: “Nothing to steal.”
In the days after the wedding, rumours swirled online that talent manager Ubi Franklin, one of Davido’s close friends and a groomsman, had stolen a luxury wristwatch at the event.
The “watch saga” started after a blog alleged that Ubi left the wedding with someone else’s luxury timepiece.

Ubi quickly shut down the allegations, explaining that celebrity jeweller Benny had offered him a watch for sale, but he declined to buy it.
Later, Benny’s brother delivered a different watch that Ubi did purchase and pay for in full and even wore during the ceremony.
Ubi Franklin said he briefly held both watches but returned the other, calling the theft story “false and misleading.” Benny himself also confirmed that nothing was stolen.
