Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has tipped Chelsea to challenge his side for the Premier League title this season.
Slot had picked the Blues as contenders last term, but they finished in fourth place.
The Dutchman is again looking at Enzo Maresca’s men as the team that could wrestle their crown.
Liverpool won the title in Slot’s first campaign and will begin their defence against Bournemouth on Friday.
But Slot is already looking at Chelsea as a possible threat to their ambition of retaining it.
“I expected them to win last season already,” he told talkSPORT.
“The amount of quality they have and they were there at the start of the season. They were in [the title race] after ten games. They were still there [in December].
“Squad depth, quality, they have a very good manager as well, and I think they’ve shown this by winning the trophies they won last season.”
