Media personality Toke Makinwa has shared her heartfelt journey to motherhood, revealing how a prayer she made to God came true just in time.

Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast Toke Moments, the 40-year-old media sensation recalled asking God to bless her with a child before she hit the milestone age. She revealed:

“At the start, I told God I want to turn 40 a mum. I turned 40 in November, and He did it in December. He didn’t fail. God is never late. He just didn’t do it the way I thought it was gonna happen.”

Toke then disclosed that she is expecting her first child,  removed her comforter which covered her baby bump and shed tears of joy for fulfilling a dream she has long cherished. She also addressed the common misconception that she dislikes or criticizes men. She explained:

“The popular belief out there is that I bash men, I hate men. It’s never been the truth. I’m a hopeless romantic. People didn’t know that I was depressed. Till now, people did not know why I did that thanksgiving service, and I’ve never talked about it till this moment.”

Toke Makinwa’s candid revelation has drawn warm reactions from fans, many of whom have celebrated her openness and resilience.

On August 13, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the media personality and entrepreneur shared the news that she is expecting her first child.

In a breathtaking maternity video, the 40-year-old looked radiant in a sheer floral gown with a flowing yellow flap, cradling her baby bump and smiling from ear to ear.

Toke Makinwa accompanied the video with a deeply personal testimony, calling this “the biggest project of my life” and “the highest calling ever.”

Expressing excitement for her journey into motherhood, Toke also wrote directly to her unborn child, revealing how she can’t wait for them to meet.
