Teni: Davido paid N6m per night for guests at his lavish #Chivido2025 wedding

The Nigerian entertainment world is still reeling from the spectacle of #Chivido2025, Davido’s wedding to Chioma Rowland now hailed by fans and celebrities alike as the most extravagant African wedding in history.

While social media was already flooded with glitzy updates from the celebration, singer Teniola Apata better known as Teni Entertainment or Teni Makanaki has now added a jaw-dropping detail. In a lighthearted interview, she revealed that Davido personally covered the cost of his guests’ accommodation at a premium hotel.

According to the “Money” hitmaker, rooms went for a staggering $4,000 (about ₦6.1 million) per night.

She added that Davido paid for three full nights for every invited guest. Teni joked:

“When it was time to extend my stay, I saw the rate and ran like Usain Bolt.”

The three-day celebration drew high-profile figures from music, politics, and business, with guests flown in from across the globe. Multiple luxury event planners were brought on board to deliver an opulent blend of cultural heritage and modern glamour from gold-accented décor to gourmet multi-course meals.

Recall the afrobeats star David Adeleke aka Davido revealed the jaw-dropping cost of his highly anticipated wedding to Chioma.

In a video from a lively bar gathering with friends, the singer is seen laughing as he declared:

“We spent $3.7 million cash on the wedding, so you should know what we are doing.”

The statement drew loud cheers and laughter from those around him.

The CHIVIDO wedding festivities are taking place in Miami, with the grand white wedding set for Sunday.
