Nigerian TikToker, Peller, stirred online buzz after releasing a new clip where he engaged billionaire nightlife mogul, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, on why he was conspicuously absent at his best friend Davido’s highly publicized white wedding in Miami, Florida.

Responding to the curiosity, Chief Priest reiterated his earlier stance: long-standing visa restrictions prevented him from attending Davido’s wedding in the United States.

He emphasized that it was not for lack of will or effort, but strictly because his U.S. visa had not been granted.

The clip, which surfaced on social media, immediately drew mixed reactions from fans and observers. While some sympathized with the celebrity barman over his struggles, others questioned his explanation.

A section of fans argued that Davido, who owns a private jet, could have easily facilitated his travel without visa constraints. Others went as far as speculating that there might have been deeper reasons behind his absence that were not being disclosed publicly.

Cubana Chief Priest had revealed earlier that he woke up on the wedding morning with “mixed feelings,” torn between immense joy for Davido and Chioma and deep personal disappointment at not being there to celebrate with them.

He further explained that the setback had given him “multiple reasons and proofs” to reapply for his American visa.

The nightlife entrepreneur, visibly emotional, also appealed directly to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, tagged their handle and urged them to consider his case more favorably, expressed confidence that he would eventually secure his visa and avoid similar regrets in the future.

Chioma’s parents also were not present to witness their daughter’s wedding because of a similar situation of visa denial and a ban placed on them.

In a post by popular journalist and blogger, Stella Dimokokorkus, she claimed that Chioma’s parents’ visas were revoked and temporarily banned for overstaying during their last visit to the US.
