Zita Wins Head of House After Doris’ Title Defense Challenge

Zita emerged as the new Head of House for Week 4 after defeating Doris in a dramatic title defense challenge. Doris had previously won the HoH title during the live show on Sunday, making her an interim HoH under Big Brother’s new twist.
On Monday, Doris was required to defend her crown against the top five performers from the earlier HoH challenge — Jason Jae, Ivatar, Isabella, Denari, and Zita. After a tense showdown, Zita clinched the win and immediately chose Rooboy as her HoH guest and deputy.
BBNaija Honours Fallen Housemates With Emotional Tribute

In a heartfelt moment, Big Brother paused the competition to honour three late former housemates: Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey. Housemates gathered in solemn silence as images of the departed stars filled the screen, remembering their contributions to the show and the entertainment industry.
Francisca Owumi, the vibrant runner-up from the 2006 debut season, was remembered for her free spirit and passion for dance before her passing in 2024.
Joseph Ada, also from the first season, died in 2023 after battling illness, while Rico Swavey from the 2018 Double Wahala season was honoured following his tragic car accident in 2022.
Eviction Nominations Shake the House
The biggest twist of the night came with Week 4 eviction nominations. All housemates except Zita, Faith, Mensan, and Jason Jae were put up for possible eviction.
Housemates had earlier been instructed to search for an envelope containing an immunity card, but none found it. Under the new Tree of Trinkets twist, Zita was granted the power to save two housemates. However, she was barred from picking her deputy, Rooboy, who was tagged the “House Snail” due to poor performance.

Zita eventually saved Faith and Mensan, leaving the remaining 20 housemates in danger of eviction. The move sparked whispers of conspiracy, as Big Brother caught Zita discussing possible choices before making her decision.
Housemates Take on Nollywood Characters
In a lighter moment, the housemates were assigned a Nollywood-themed task, mimicking iconic characters from Nigeria’s film industry.

The challenge saw hilarious transformations:
- Koyin as Aki, Faith as Paw Paw, KayBobo as Tony Umez, Mide as Mama G, Kola as Nkem Owoh, Rooboy as Jim Iyke, Imisi as Funke Akindele, Gigi as Genevieve Nnaji, Dede as Joke Silva, Joanna as Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, and Sultana as Eucharia Anunobi.
- Isabella embodied Ini Edo, Thelma channeled Rita Dominic, Kuture became Kanayo O. Kanayo, Mensan acted as Ramsey Nouah, while Jason took on Clem Ohameze.
- Bright Morgan transformed into Pete Edochie, Ivatar into Mercy Johnson, Zita as Nkiru Sylvanus, Big Soso as Hilda Dokubo, Tracy as Sola Sobowale, and Victory as Desmond Elliot.

The lively task brought humour, nostalgia, and drama as housemates tried to outdo each other in mannerisms, costumes, and performances, keeping fans entertained while also setting the stage for the week’s major wager task.
Week 4 Wager Task: A Nostalgic Celebration of Old Nollywood

This week’s wager is themed “Nostalgia,” requiring housemates to celebrate iconic Nollywood moments. Split into two teams, they must create a play that reflects the personalities and stories of the Nigerian film industry’s golden era.
Team One: Doris, Rooboy, Kaybobo, Big Soso, Joanna, Kola, Victory, Koyin, Mensan, Imisi, and Tracy.
Team Two: Jason, Bright, Mide, Dede, Sultana, Kuture, Gigi, Denari, Isabella, Zita, Ivatar, Faith, and Thelma.
Both teams will need to merge personal experiences with Nollywood characters, testing their creativity, unity, and storytelling abilities.
Emotional Reactions as Sabrina’s Picture Is Removed

The house turned emotional when Big Brother removed Sabrina’s photo from the wall, signaling that her voluntary exit was final. Doris and Kola broke down in tears, believing Sabrina’s health may have deteriorated outside the house.
Although reports confirmed Sabrina is stable after leaving to seek medical attention, housemates were left unsettled by her absence.
Dede and Mide Analyse Jason’s Behaviour

A private conversation between Mide and Dede raised eyebrows, as the duo speculated on Jason’s recent moodiness. Mide suggested Jason was playing mind games to create tension, while Dede questioned his reaction to her calling him a “fish.”
Their discussion highlighted the fragile trust and emotional undercurrents in the house, especially with overlapping friendships and perceived betrayals.
Jason and Sultana at Odds as Doris Warns Against Gigi

Another drama unfolded as Jason and Sultana’s strained dynamic resurfaced after Ebuka exposed her secret kiss with Koyin.
Doris advised Sultana to be cautious of Gigi’s intentions, hinting at jealousy and manipulative behaviour. Jason’s closeness to Faith further complicated the triangle, with Faith refusing to have conversations with him, citing unwanted attention.
The tension not only deepened Jason’s issues with Sultana but also placed his alliances under threat.
Jason Moves Away From Sultana, Sparks Concern From Housemates
Jason made a bold move that shocked the house when he declared his intention to leave his bed close to Sultana’s and temporarily occupy Zita’s spot until she returned. This decision instantly sparked concern from Imisi, who saw it as Jason taking things too far.

The situation stems from Jason and Sultana’s strained relationship following revelations about her kiss with Koyin. Jason’s physical shift away from her bed is now being read as a symbolic rejection, suggesting he has no plans of reconciling anytime soon.
Imisi, known for her bluntness, tried to advise Jason not to prolong the issue, reminding him that the kiss happened during a game and shouldn’t be allowed to disrupt the house’s already fragile harmony. However, Jason was adamant, insisting that not all conflicts are meant to be resolved.
Food Fight Erupts Over Onions, Fish, and Food Waste
Dinner time spiraled into full-blown chaos as housemates clashed over food, cooking rights, and waste management. What began as a casual disagreement over onions quickly escalated into insults, shouting matches, and direct confrontations.
Imisi accused Kaybobo of being arrogant and senseless, while Gigi criticized her for misusing onions. The kitchen quickly became a battleground as other housemates joined in.

Victory declared his right to cook fish for himself, but Kaybobo insisted that fish was meant for the group, sparking another heated argument.
Kaybobo eventually reported the matter to the guest HoH, Rooboy, who attempted to mediate but only fueled further drama. In an explosive exchange, Rooboy turned his frustration on Imisi, threatening to expose her perceived untidiness and even mocking her financial status. Imisi clapped back, admitting she wears second-hand clothes but standing firm in her position.

The confrontation soon spiraled into a class war, with Rooboy openly mocking not just Imisi but other housemates’ backgrounds as well. He dragged Mide, Mensan, and even himself into the conversation, highlighting the poverty many contestants had come from.
The brutal honesty and raw insults shocked onlookers, leaving the house unsettled long after the shouting stopped.
Kola and Dede Clash Over Their Complicated Relationship

Kola expressed feeling like a fool on national TV due to his situationship with Dede, accusing her of mixed signals. Dede, however, maintained that she never promised a relationship, accusing him of having unrealistic expectations.
Their ongoing back-and-forth continues to dominate house conversations, with other housemates weighing in on whether Kola is being overly emotional or Dede is downplaying her role.
Mensan and Dede Exchange Sharp Words

Another heated moment came when Mensan accused Dede of being quick to insult others. Dede dismissed him, while the infamous “fish pie” chant from other housemates added fuel to the fire, leaving the tension unresolved.
Bright Advises Kola to Respect Himself in Dede Saga

Bright had a candid conversation with Kola, urging him to show more self-respect in his dynamic with Dede. Highlighting her closeness with Koyin and Jason, Bright suggested that Dede may not be fully invested.
Kola defended his feelings but admitted the situation was draining. This back-and-forth has left fans divided on whether Kola should walk away or hold on.
Biggie Punishes Kuture for Violence

Following his heated altercation with Faith, Kuture was punished by Big Brother. He was tasked with repeatedly writing the line “Violence is never the answer” in an entire notebook, reinforcing the show’s zero-tolerance policy for aggression.
Dede Surprises Koyin With Birthday Meal

In a softer moment, Dede prepared food for Koyin to celebrate his birthday in the early hours of August 19. Koyin was touched by the gesture, which contrasted sharply with the tension-filled day and showed that friendship and kindness still exist amid the drama.
From Zita’s HoH win to the heated food wars, Nollywood nostalgia, and fragile friendships, August 18 showcased the highs and lows of BBNaija Season 10. With nearly all housemates up for eviction, alliances tested, and emotional stakes rising, fans can only expect more drama, heartbreak, and surprises as the week unfolds.
